About Me

I am a highly motivated Robotics Engineering graduate from the University of Central Lancashire, with interests in Machine Learning, Robotics, Microcontrollers, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Analytics and the Internet of Things.

I have been a globetrotter since the age of one and due to my father’s career, I have had the opportunity to study in many different countries. This has given me the opportunity to explore places, learn more about different cultures and have a better understanding of the dynamics of the cities that I have lived in.

I got my first experience in the potentials of digital technology, during my 3-year stay in Stockholm, Sweden. Here I saw how computers (big and small) took control of many aspects; from education, transportation and industry to personal entertainment. Due to this keen interest, I was also updating myself on new happenings in the technology industry, such as the IBM Deep Blue, Dr. Watson and Google’s DeepMind etc.

I completed my high school in Sri Lanka in 2013 and decided to head to the UK for my university education.

As an individual, I am curious, intelligent, innovative, motivated, independent and self-composed. I thrive in both situations where I must work as part of a team and on my own. I aspire not only to bring out what was once an idea in a lab into a working product in real life but also ensure my products go above and beyond expectation and does not fail to impress critics. I enjoy every part of being a professional in an ever-changing and ever-challenging field and do find that experience rewarding.

I also like spending a considerable amount of my leisure time pursuing my own electronics/robotics engineering related projects.
